If you have reactive lymph nodes, the problem is not from allergy but likely due to a viral illness. Most viral infections will resolve after 5-7 days unless you have bacterial super-infection. I do not understand why your doctor stated that he will prescribe stronger allergic medications if you do not improve by Wednesday.
