I have an ear infection. tomorrow is my last day on antibiotic. the wax in my ear is irritating me. should i clean the wax out? how should i clean?

Ear wax: Avoid traumatizing your ear. Colace (docusate sodium) solution which traditionally is used for constipation is gentle and works well to soften wax and makes it easier to remove. 1-2 drops twice daily for 5-7 days works well. Do not use if there is a perforation of your ear drum. All the best and good luck with the wax.

Ear Wax: Many Docs have their own way of suggesting to clean cerumen ( ear wax). Mine is this... add 1 ounce of hydrogen peroxide and 1 ounce of water into a small container and put a few drops in each ear every night for a week. The ear wax will dissolve and come out. Good Luck :)
