Virus? Allergy?: These symptoms are most suggestive of a viral infection or allergy; may not respond to any antibiotic. Sometimes doctors try prescribing azithromycin or other antibiotics, in the hope they might help -- but knowing they may not. Probably you'll just have to wait til it clear on its own, treating with decongestants, aspirin, etc to control symptoms. But ask your doctor if concerned or in doubt.
