Possibly : one of the common reactions seen with prednisone is nervousness,feeling anxious and "on edge,"and those things can produce symptoms such as palpitations and tachycardia as you describe.If it started right after starting the med,I'd say there's high likelihood it's the med.If it's very bothersome you may want to consider talking to your doc about switching meds.should cease when stop the prednisone
