Might heal: Nerve damage heals very slowly but hopefully you will have some resolution or improvement of the symptoms.

Facial nerve palsy: A post-traumatic facial nerve injury can affect facial muscle function with paralysis and can affect the stapedial reflex, which tends to dampen the effects of loud sounds to the ear. If the facial paralysis resolves, then in time the stapedial reflex should improve. You need to give it 6-12 months to resolve.
