A member asked:

What can cause a swishing sound in ears when hearing high pitched sounds? ear tests were ok and doc said i just had sensitive ears so should i accept?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be other entity: There are other "things" that can cause one to hear swishing sounds in the ear so if your doctor has only sent you for audiometry testing you could inquire as to their opinion in performing some other tests to rule out something abnormal within the inner ear or even the neck itself. It is slightly odd that only high pitched sounds seem to trigger the noise though. I'm not sure what that indicates.
