Yes, but:: If a patient is having persistent heartburn despite being on Nexium (esomeprazole) daily he/she should find out why it is such a problem, and may need to see a Gastroenterologist for an Endoscopy, especially if the following suggestions don't help: -No smoking -Avoid food or drink after dinner -Reduce alcohol -Sleep with a wedge elevating your back and head -Eat a bunch of small meals instead of 2-3 large ones
