Diet options.: All of these diets are relatively new. Diets that are effective include Vegetarian, Vegan, Atkins, Low carbohydrate, Zone, Mediterranean. I use the Paleolithic diet which I feel works well.

Not sure: Are you interested in hearing about a particular diet to help lose weight? I would just preface anything by saying there is no one diet that works well for all. And in fact, several different diets may work well for any one individual.
