Occur with age: Calcium deposits in the walls of the arteries contribute to the narrowing and stiffness. The effects of these deposits may be seen on ordinary X-rays.Vascular calcifications are age related changes which happen in arteries as we get older. Basically calcium is deposited around the vascular system. These calcifications may be in heart, aorta, etc.. They can be related to cardiovascular disease.
