Depends: I would suggest that if you have doubts that you get a second opinion. At a minimum, i would ensure your surgeon has plenty of experience with this technique or make sure he is an ENT with specialized training for voice disorders (laryngologist). If he is a laryngologist.. That is an expert opinion and i would proceed if that is what recommended.
