Do doctors know of cases of schizophrenia where the person hears voices telling him to do good things?

I don't know: The majority of my patients with schizoprhenia have experienced voices that make frightening or pejorative comments. A smaller number have experienced more neutral content from auditory hallucinations. I do not recall any patients over the last 30+ years- tell me that the voices were pleasant or kind.

SCHIZOPHRENIA: I have had cases on an inpatient psychiatric unit who first have positive hallucinations that quickly turn into frightening negative ones.
