Protein: Sugar actually causes highs and lows and does not sustain energy. It is best to eat protein which gives a long sustained level of energy. Also consider fresh fruits and vegetables. Eat slowly & drink plenty of water.

No need: Hi. There's no need to bring your sugar up if you're not diabetic (so not taking insulin). Are you overweight/obese? Such people can early on get sugars that look on the low end, but they're NOT a problem, and do not meed or warrant treatment. Eat healthily and exercise regularly. Good luck!
