Hyperthyroid: Carnitine will not help. The dose of carmimazole/methimazole needed will often change over time, and the course of the hyperthyroidism can change. You may need a dose adjustment of the medicaiton. This is why many Endocrinologists recommend definitive treatment with radioactive iodine or surgery.
