Start with your PCP: and go from there. There are internists who specialize in sickle cell management, and your PCP will be the best person to refer you. Plus, if you start plaquenil, (hydroxychloroquine) you need to have a good eye doctor too to follow you as well for all of your conditions. So, let your doctor be the gatekeeper to referring you to the best doctors s/he knows, and you will be in good hands!
