Ruled out: A positive d-dimer never rules in a clot. The ONLY value a d-dimer has is that when it's negative, it rules a clot out. Your negative ultrasound ruled out a clot with high accuracy. D-dimer is just a screening test. US is definitive. You don't have a clot. Your pain is due to something else. Have that issue evaluated. Good luck to you!

Not blood clots: NEGATIVE ULTRASOUND MAKES DVT VERY UNLIKELY HOAWVER THERE ARE MANY OTHER CAUSES OF LEG PAIN INCLUDONG MUSCLE PAIN OR STRAIN. BINE OR JOINT PROBLEMS, OR BACK PROBLEMAS TO NAME A FEW. A THOROUGH EXAMINATION AND REVIEW OF YOUR AFURDIES CAN HELP SORF THIS OUT AND DIRECT THERAPY IF NEEDED
