Typical description: Your description is very typical of random premature beats - the early beat seems to be "missing" because the heart hasn't filled adequately. Try to avoid nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol. Try to get plenty of sleep and minimize stress. If your symptoms persist beyond a week, it would be valuable to record your rhythm for 24 hours and perform an echocardiogram & bloodwork for potassium & magnesium.

Premature beats: You are having early beats which are causing the heart to skip the next beat. This is a very common and mostly benign phenomenon in people with normal hearts but can cause funny sensation in your chest. It does get worse with being tired and at the end of day. Depending on how frequent they are and how much they bother you, consider talking to your doc about it.
