100 to 180: Normal heart rate for most newborn is 100 to 180, and if it is less than 100 the baby needs to be examined by the childs pediatrician but you have to either establish the rate by feeling the pulse for full 1 minute or by auscultation of heart with a stethoscope and counting heart beats for full 60 minutes.
