It's possible: You have a specific time frame in mind regarding your healing.. that time frame my be unrealistic, depending on the severity of the surgery, and what exactly may be causing your pain (infection, muscle pull, open wound, etc). I would suggest that you call your surgeon for a follow up appointment. Once visualized, s/he should be able to determine why you are still uncomfortable and help you.

Very common: Be patient. It takes 7-10 days for pain to subside completely. Over the next several days you can progress to solid foods at your own pace (pastas, soft vegetables, eggs, fruits, ground meats, etc.). Take care.
