Eat after extraction: Do you feel lucky. Are you a gambler. It's risky and could end u back in dr office with dry socket. If you can control where the food goes while chewing and you do nothing to disrupt blood clot theoretically you should be fine. It's the swishing, spitting, sucking and food going into area and tongue that mess thinks up.

Usually: If you can and want to, sure. Your dentist should supply you with oral and\or written instructions as to what to do, not to do, and possibly recommended choices of solid and liquid nourishment.
