YES AND NO: The most common pituitary tumors tend to be benign but can affect hormones and sometimes need to be removed if they get too big. It may be time to have a good examination of your visual fields, a recheck of your thyroid function and perhaps a look at growth Hormone, LH, FSH, Prolactin and an MRI.
