Diabetes: Diabetes is a chronic illness. You cannot 'reverse' the disease but you can control it with medicines, a strict diabetic diet and exercise. The better control the less complications you will have in the future .Furthermore , by keeping a hba1c less than 6.5% you may delay progression of disease by not 'burning out your pancreas'.

Yes, it can.: Althought pessimistic studies may indicate that diabetes will eventually become an issue if your live long enough and in an unhealthy manner, you can control how soon that happens and your probability of a long life without daily injections and fingersticks. Numerous pts have reversed diabetic leaning numbers with weight loss and exercise.

Diabetes Control: Diabetes can be controlled and many of the complications prevented & the blood sugar can be reversed toward normal./. You are doing well, 6.9% is diabetic level while6.1% is borderline. You goal is less than 5.7%. Diabetes itself cannot be reversed.
