My ultrasound report says "gall bladder is distended show smooth walls, lumen is echo free, common bile duct is not dilated" what does this all mean? should i be worried?

Gallbladder U/S: This sounds like a normal report. Echo free means no stones or polyps were seen. No bile duct dilation is normal. Gallbladder distention can be normal (it fills with bile then contracts to release the bile with meals). Of course, the report should be interpreted by the ordering physician, taking into account your symptoms that led to it being ordered in the first place.
