I have borderline liver enlargement but bile ducts not dilated and liver texture is normal. what does it mean?
I had an ab ultrasound. Showed my common bile duct and common hepatic duct were mildly dilated, no stones/masses. all else was normal. causes? SCARED
How effective is the ultrasound at seeing small amounts of fibrosis or cirrhosis in the liver? Do radiologists get a good enough view of the liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts with this test to detect very early damage in these areas?
My ultrasound report says "gall bladder is distended show smooth walls, lumen is echo free, common bile duct is not dilated" What does this all mean? Should I be worried?
What is the significance of ultrasound findings that reads 'Dialated common bile duct (7.5mm) of uncertain significance and etiology. Mild intrahepatic ductal prominence noted'. PCP did not provide any further recommendations as blood work is normal.
