What is the significance of ultrasound findings that reads 'dialated common bile duct (7.5mm) of uncertain significance and etiology. mild intrahepatic ductal prominence noted'. pcp did not provide any further recommendations as blood work is normal.

It means just: what it says...uncertain reasons...one possibility is that there is/was a STONE ( source Gallbladder) passed recently.. Just a thought Hope it's helpful Dr Z
