Not commonly but: Diarrhea can be a side effect of prozac (fluoxetine) and if not short lived or if severe would be an indication to stop the medication and cal your doctor. It may, if needed, help to start off more slowly with half the dose and then increase if tolerated.

May be: Loose stools may occur with Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI's). Prozac (fluoxetine) is an SSRI. It usually resolves w/in 14 days. If not, probiotics may be of help. Take care.
