Go to an ER: Any child of age 1 year or less with an acute fever of this magnitude should be see and evaluated by a doctor. The best place would be at a children's hospital, or if you can be seen urgently in a pediatrician's office that is a satisfactory alternative. I hope he gets better quite soon . Best wishes.

Fever is body's way: of fighting infection, and in itself is not bad, but your child may feel more comfortable if you use a fever reducer. If your child weighs 24 #, then 160mg of Tylenol (acetaminophen) or 100 mg of Advil are both safe. It is more inportant to consider other symptoms that your child has. If he is alert and interactive and does not have breathing problems, ok to wait 2-3 days before seeing a doctor.
