Please reference this website https://www.g6pd.org/ It has a list of all the food and medications people with G6PD deficiency should avoid. That medication, also known as Amoxicillin-Clavulanate, is a penicillin and safe to take.

I defer to your son’s pediatrician about whether he SHOULD take amoksiklav, but while many patients with G6PD deficiency do just fine on amoksiklav, some people develop a condition called hemolytic anemia. It is important that the doctor who is involved in your son’s is aware of his G6PD deficiency.
