Scoliosis: exercise is the prescribed activity for scoliosis. If form is correct heavy lifting should be ok if done in a safe progressive fashion. See www.iscoliosis.com web site for great information on scoliosis.

A Quote of Note...: According to the National Scoliosis foundation: "Exercise or sport participation will have no effect on non-fused spinal curves. Although curves tend to increase by several degrees with advanced age, this appears to be unrelated to activity or exercise levels... Several hours per week of exercise or sports participation should not exert any harmful additional stress into these areas."
