4 days ago i woke up with a bump on my foot with pus in it, a few days later it got worse and really swollen. what could be the problem?

Several : Discharge(pus) is a sign of infection. So is edema(swelling). I would have it looked at... Community acquired Mrsa infections as well as other infections present themselves as u describe and need immediate attention.
