MRSA can be deadly: Given his history and how dangerous MRSA can be, i believe your son needs to see a physician today. If he is also in kent then there are some great physician's locally. Your family doctor will be able to not only diagnose these sores but get him on treatment.

Infection: You are describing a bacterial skin infection. With the history of mirsa, i would not hesitate in getting these cultured and appropriate antibiotic treatment started.
