Boil or abcess: This abscess is draining pus loaded with bacteria, usually staph. Continue warm applications 4 times a day to continue drainage, but after soaks, sterilize the surrounding skin with rubbing alcohol and cover the abscess with a gauze held in place with paper tape and not adhesive tape. . See MD if persistent pain,swelling or spreading redness occurs.
