A member asked:

Does a blood and pee test always detect ectopic pregnancy (messed around 13 days ago)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Almost always : An ectopic pregnancy will almost always cause a positive pregnancy test. There are case reports of ectopic pregnancies with negative pregnancy tests but many of those had previously positive tests. The chances of you having an ectopic pregnancy with a negative pregnancy test are exceedingly low.
