A member asked:

Ectopic pregnancy, i had blood tests done and came back 1800 which indicate that im 8 weeks pregnant however we did internal and external scan and dr could not pick up anything, not on my ovaries besides two cysts on my one ovary, second opinion?

Ectopic pregnancy ?: HCG levels are not reliable with ectopic pregnancies, secondary to poor circulatory vessels outside the uterus proper. A sonogram may not show a tubal pregnancy or an abdominal pregnancy outside the uterus. Get another HCG test to be certain that the pregnancy has either increased in size or has aborted spontaneously. Increased pain should be investigated promptly.
