My ent doc want to do a rigid endoscopy of my esophagus. why choose this over a flexible endoscopy?

Endoscopy: Rigid Endoscope usually are being used in ENT, Urology, arthroscopy and gynecology procedure while the flexible one are used in bronchoscopy, colonoscopy and viewing of the upper gastroenterological systems.
