A member asked:

What is a hypertrophic thyroid?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Goiter: Hypertrophic means "enlarged". Presumably you are reading an ultrasound report or some kind of imaging. Sounds like you have an enlarged thyroid (goiter). Did they see "nodules"? You should have thyroid blood tests to determine thyroid activity. In a 26 yo woman, high likelihood of Graves or Hashimotos. You may need to see an Endocrinologist.
