Celecoxib is a COX-2 inhibitor so it usually does not cause upset stomach but sometimes it does. Please note that we use celecoxib for patients with history of gastritis, PUD, GERD, etc. when they need NSAID. You should talk to the prescriber or you can try a histamine 2 blocker (famotidine, cimetidine) or a proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc.) as a trial for that side effect.
