Timing: This could be a long talk. Suffice it to say that the characteristic physical and emotional symptoms of PMS occur only in the luteal phase of a woman's cycle. There should be a symptom free period around days 4 - 12. This would distinguish PMS from other physical and psychiatric ailments that may have similar symptoms.
