A list: Here are a few conditions that may mimic pms: major depression, other mood and affective disorders, anxiety, thyroid disease (hyper- or hypo-), irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraine, perimenopause. I have no doubt that there are others.

PMS: Irritable bowel symptoms or migraine headaches may occur premenstrually. Severe mood changes pre menstrually are called "premenstrual dysphoric disorder" and are treatable with antidepressants and exercise. Endometriosis can cause severe pms like symptoms. Rarely, pelvic tumors may be confused with pms.
