Focus on your health: It's important that you focus on becoming healthy and happy with who you are! A boyfriend does not bring happiness, in fact a bad boyfriend will make you feel worse! Plus if you are "desperate" you will likely settle for someone that you don't need! Find some hobby/sport that you enjoy and focus on that. If the right guy sees you enjoying life and smiling he will be attracted to you!
