Upper abdominal pain & discomfort w/ some chest area discomfort, jaw/ear pain, burping, diarrhea, nausea, er said it was a virus. what could be wrong?

Probably a combo: These symptoms could easily be the result of a virus that effects the stomach and GI tract or heartburn. However it is important to evaluate any patient who has chest pain and nausea for serious conditions like heart attacks. If the ER checked you for those conditions then it is very unlikely anything dangerous. Try to stay hydrated and return to ER if your condition worsens.
