Virus likely: A viral intestinal infection is the usual cause of these symptoms and it usually resolves after a week or so with no specific treatment except rest, intake of adequate room temperature fluids,avoidance of harsh roughage,taking of Tylenol (acetaminophen) and kaopectate as needed. If diarrhea persists for much longer then stool cultures are recommended to check for other pathogens which may require specific meds
