HIDA: A HIDA scan will show whether the GB is functioning or not and whether the bile ducts are open

Sometimes liver: HIDA test shows mainly gall bladder functioning and status of biliary ducts. Gross evaluation of hepatocellular function is also seen on test by the way liver extracts radiopharmaceutical from bloodstream.
