A member asked:

Alt (52) and total bilirubin (1.9) have both been sligtly elevated for the past 12 months.ast has been normal in the low 20's. ultrasound and ct of the abdomen and pelvis and hida scan all normal.liver biospy discussed.what could that show?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Has your doctor considered Gilbert syndrome as an explanation for the elevated bilirubin. Unless there is other data that would warrant liver biopsy, the information you provided does not seem sufficient reason, You may wish to consider a/different liver specialist. Wish you good health!
