Unlikely: Although the tmj and ear are close in proximity it is unlikely that tmj dysfunction would cause hearing loss.

Unlikely: Sounds like an inflammation or reaction to medication. Although the joint is in the area of the ears, there is quite a bit of bone between the two areas.
