It does not cause but it can associated with. Give example: vestibular neuroma or neuronitis can cause both symptoms.

Sensorineural hearing loss in not uncommonly associated with vertigo, in Meniere's syndrome, and many other disorders. Oculo-vestibular testing, especially a video-nystagmogram would be helpful. Trust an otolaryngologist is currently involved. Vertigo if secondary to peripheral vestibular mechanisms may respond to vestibular physical therapy.
