Contact allergy?: If the problem is confined to the hands and wrists, then a contact allergy should be suspected (soap. lotion, latex gloves, chemicals). Topical hydrocortisone cream may help but avoidance is the only answer. May consult a dermatologist if problem persists since patch skin test may well reveal the culprit.
