A member asked:

Doctor said i have pulled a tendon in my finger. i have woken today and am not able to move my finger at all, is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulled tendon injury: can cause significant swelling which can make it difficult to move the affected joint. Although you didn't mention swelling I'm guessing this is what it is, with the decreased movement during sleep adding to swelling that accompanies injury. If you truly cannot move the finger at all and have no feeling, you should have it re-evaluated right away as there could nerve impingement/damage
