A member asked:

Hi, since three days i have a severe pain in my achilles tendon when walking. today i can not walk normally and i need to seek help. when resting i do not experience pain. would you recommend i see a physio or a doctor for this to start off?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Orthopedic specialis: If this symptom was not caused by a very recent injury or overuse, tendinitis of the Achilles tendon is likely. Consult an orthopedic specialist for diagnosis and treatment. I have found that walking backwards up inclines, when possible, takes pressure of the Achilles tendon.
