When is salmonella no longer contagious. my son had non severe diahrrea for about two days ,vomited twice had no pain fever or temp then had a rash.

Culture: A stool,culture that is negative will prove that your son is no longer contagious. Do you know for sure it is salmonella that is the cause for his illness? A rash may indicate other illnesses. Have him checked.

Salmonella: Most people return to work/ school when diarrhea stops. Food or health care workers or children in daycare must obtain local/ state health department approval.
