Musculoskeletal: There are many muscles that move the larynx or voice box when you swallow. Therefore, it is not uncommon that you might have some discomfort or a strain of those muscles which you notice when you swallow. Generally, heat, massage, and anti-inflammatory Rx is helpful. See your doctor if it persists or worsens.
